Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt ready to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the production, remarking that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to block the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the LAPD.

A legal directive placed a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" associated with the probe.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a official listing listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the killings, public personalities offered varying comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering controversial claims that were broadly criticized by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the critics recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and suggested they demonstrated a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by remarking that an adviser should have stepped in when the decision to weigh in on the death was made.
