'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Relatives of Unaccounted For Young People Desperately Seek Answers After Ski Resort Fire
The loved ones of teenagers missing after a deadly inferno at a establishment in a Switzerland's alpine town are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for confirmed information and requesting any details about their children online.
The inferno engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Circulated images reveal the roof structure catching alight as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.
Authorities have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the victims of the disaster, which killed four dozen individuals and injured another over a hundred. Authorities said on Friday that 113 of the injured have been identified, with work ongoing to locate the final individuals.
In the waiting period, relatives have been posting on social media to plead for clues about their missing relatives who were present at the venue that night.
Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For
The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his parent.

The Italian foreign ministry has said that six of its young people have not been located.
One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage promising athlete, originally from Italy but now living in the UAE.
The national sporting body has stated that he is deceased, without directly referencing the tragedy, honoring a "young athlete who represented passion and authentic values."
His parent, is quoted as saying that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around midnight. An official spokesperson has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is awaited.
Other Cases
Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is likewise unaccounted for. His mother said that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with friends and found himself at the venue.
"A close friend told me they ran away after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a certain point he couldn't see him anymore," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.
One of his educators stated, "He was known for his kindness and positive demeanor, combined with great responsibility. He would frequently ask if get me a coffee."
Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss nationality but lives permanently in the country, was also present on that night, according to media.
Her brother has published an appeal online, saying the relatives has had "no updates" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.
Consular authorities from her country of origin say they are closely watching the developments.
